Friday 26th February - Equivalent Fractions centimetres and millimetres..
Today we are looking at working on how measures of centimetres and millimetres are equivalent (equal). Below is the link to the white rose video and the worksheet document (I am not putting the slides up as they don't seem to work)
Wednesday 24th February - Equivalent Measures for centimetres and metres
Today we will be looking at how measures of length measured in centimetres can be equal and how we can swap between them. Below are the slides for the lesson and the worksheet to go with the lesson. The link for the video which goes with the lesson is also here.
WEEK BEGINNING 22nd February. Converting Measures
The next couple of weeks we will be concentrating on converting measures. On Monday we will look at all the different types of measures, particularly for capacity, weight (mass) and length. We will then look at how to convert from small measures to big ones and vice versa. Finally we will look at calculating with measures. In order to succeed with this it is important to know the following:
10mm = 1cm 100 cm = 1m 1000mm = 1m 1000 m = 1km
10 ml = 1 cl 100cl = 1l 1000ml = 1 litre
1000g = 1kg 1000kg= 1 tonne
As part of your learning try to remember these.
Below are the slides and worksheet for lesson 1. In addition to completing the worksheet - how many objects in your kitchen cupbaord can you find with measures on them. E.g. cans, packets of cerial, sugar and flour - get a feel for how much each one is.
Thursday 11 February. Timetables
Below are the slides to go with the lesson for reasoning and problem solving with timetables to help if you do not wish to access the lesson. The worksheets are here which are different to the normal ones. There are one section on fluency and one section on problems. Their is an a and b for each type of question at each level. There are three levels - choose your level then do either a or b. The answers are on the bottom of the sheet. If you have made a mistake see if you can work out why.
